Youngblood..

It's good to always go and do what your heart tells you, but most of us only do this with wishful thinking and never actually go do what our hearts tell us, After watching "The Art Of flight" during this past weekend, i had a sense of what it must feel like to be free and courageous enough to do what makes you free. The wholevisual experience of Travis Rice and his crew snowboarding through several mountains around the world, makes you feel like you are right there with them, kudos to the director of the documentary, for such great imagery, makes me wanna become a snowboarder. And the Music complimented the scenes so well. Check out the trailer below

Let the show begin..

Last we checked Ned stark was dead. Beheaded by newly crowned king of the iron throne Joffry for apparent treason, when Ned Stark claimed (while bringing forth Robert Baratheon's will) Joffry was not the rightful air to the iron throne. Daenarys was left wondering around after Khal Drogo died after fighting an opposer and an interesting encounter with a witch. Jaime Lannister remained captive at the hands of the Starks for a trade. Arya managed to escape with the assistance of Yoren a recruiter at the Night's Watch.
New characters were introduced in the already air two episodes and now it seems four self declared kings are waging war, and going after the Iron throne..brace yourselves..war is coming, let the show begin..

Homeland..

ever since the finale of "breaking bad" and "Rescue me" i've pretty much been watching anime' (cowboy bebop to be exact) and about a week ago when i was watching the golden globes, they kept goin on  and on about a new series called "homeland" and it stars Damian Lewis, a Brittish actor that also starred in the excellent "Life" and "Dreamcatcher"
The series keeps playing with the audience, where we are forced to wonder if the main character is one of the good guys or bad. i seriously recommend you watch it now!!

Vehicle..

i personally dony understand why this movie didnt do good in theaters, i enjoyed the dialogue in this thing..

Ivy Selleck: Mister Ready, this business has been in our family for 40 years, so no sleazy stuff okay?

Don Ready: Don't worry about it darlin' we're not going to break the rules, we're just going to bend them a little bit...
Ivy Selleck: [wiggles around faking enthusiasm] Okay, okay. I just, I know your type. You know it's all the thrill of the hunt, I get it. I mean you crave it, you corner it, but mister Ready let me ask you a question. You know what to do when you catch it?
[awkward silence drops around the dinner table]
Don Ready: Are we talking about pussy?
-----------------------
Jibby Newsome: [after turning on "Dawson's Creek" in his motel room] James Van Der Beek, my nigga!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Babs Merrick: You're a virgin?
Jibby Newsome: Oh, hell no!
Babs Merrick: Oh.
Jibby Newsome: No, I been with hundreds of women... maybe thousands. I... I just ain't never really ever made love to a woman. You know, I've done 3-ways, 4-ways, menage-a-tois, menage sept, menage seises... I've sixty-nined, eighty-nined... one hundred fourteened. Golden, diamond and platinum showers. I like that. I mean, I ripped shit up. Done all that... but I ain't never ever made love to a woman.

Curb your your enthusiasm..

What can i say, this dude gets away with murder everytime this show's on..mocumentary style. Larry david continues to annoy all those around him without knowing it, he's always got good intantions and means well, but all hell always breaks loose.. i haven't laughed this much since bush was dodging shoes from that heckler..
Here's a couple of quotes from the show, courtesy of IMDB.com

[Cheryl is reading a draft of her renewed wedding vows to Larry]
Cheryl: "We'll love each other throughout this lifetime, but after death through all eternity."
Larry: You mean this is... this is continuing into the afterlife?
Cheryl: Yeah, that's the idea. Do you have a problem with that?
Larry: Well, I... I thought this was over at death. I didn't know we went into eternity together. Isn't that what it said in... ”'til death do us part, " I thought it was...
Cheryl: Do you have a problem with eternity?
Larry: Well...
Cheryl: We finally found each other, Larry, and we're celebrating this for all eternity.
Larry: I guess I had a different plan for eternity. I thought... I thought I'd be single again.
---------------------
Jeff Greene: All of the women at HBO, they don't want to work with you.
Larry David: Oh, come on. That's ridiculous.
Jeff Greene: They think you're a misogynist.
Larry David: Why, 'cause I called the guy a cunt? So what!
Jeff Greene: 'Cause you called the guy a cunt.
Larry David: Big deal, I call men pricks all the time, men want to work with me.
Jeff Greene: Well, cunt's worse.
Larry David: Cunt's not worse. Pricks and cunts, they're equal. Pricks, cunts, come on. They balance out.
Jeff Greene: No, cunt is worse. Cunt's much heavier.
Larry David: Why? Why is cunt heavier?
Jeff Greene: I never questioned, it just is.
Larry David: That's sexist to me! Come on.

The Road Trailer

I suggest you read the book before the movie comes out. If you've seen children of men and doomsday, then you know what the story's all about.

Vicious Traditions..

Addiction is a dangerous thing,It's something you can't really control. That's why people always tend to keep it a secret, because of the effects it has on the people close to you,if you dont get help. especially when it turns out that the the addiction is somewhat hereditary, then it's possible that your kids will end up being like you, and you'll end up being haunted by that fact.
If you see "Mr. Brooks" you'll understand what i'm talking about. In this case the addiction is that he's got a killing addiction, almost the same as DEXTER. A creepy bittersweet ending with that equally creepy song pretty much sums up everything running in brrok's head. He's haunted by the fact that his kid might end up like him..closing the scene with a serenity prayer..watch it now!!

what a job..

Someone gets fired, and another one gets suspended. The reason? talking crap about their bosses on facebook. A day in the life in the 21st century. This happened in south africa a couple of days back. you dont see that everyday.
Now i dont quiet think these guys are working for the same company, but i found myself chuckling when i read that the one who got fired called his boss a serial masturbator or something like that..
If there's one thing i've learned about this whole internet thing is that everybody's watching and you cant vent in an open forum like that while you dont know who's reading what you are talking about, especially on facebook, come on!!
I do admit though that a lot of people got issues with their bosses for obvious reasons (low pay-check, unhygienic work environment, lack of motivation), and it really pisses you off when you know you are doing all the work while some "suit" just barks orders at you while he gets fat like a pig.

This is when i usually recommend watching officespace. i guarantee you that you'll feel better the next day you get to work. Because it's a movie about blue collar workers frustrated with their jobs and boss

Hope..

Hope might be dangerous thing..it will drive you nuts if you don't carry determination and perseverance. Andy Dufresne had to learn the hard way. Of course the movie is filled with all the prison movie cliches, but it doesn't stray away from it's main theme, which is quiet evident throughout the entire film.

I keep looking for this film on DVD but can't seem to quiet get it anywhere just on tv networks from time to time, one of the best film of it's time. I couldn't believe it ws based on one of the stephen King short stories..If you havent seen this yet, then you should make time, you wont be dissapointed i've seen it five times in the fifteen years it came out and im still a satisfied customer..
