John Mayer is back, with his sixth #1 album after a two year hiatus, due to throat surgery. The album is different from his earlier work, and sounds more like a country album, but it still has his signature delivery.

Jack White - Blunderbuss

I've been following whatever Jack White's been doing since the white stripes released their debut album. but i wasn't much of a fan of The Dead Weather. I've always been fascinated by his guitar play, which he shows on this album on the song "freedom st 21" on his solo effort, aptly titled Blunderbuss. Why he named it that, i have no idea, but the gesture probably got the NRA doing the Conan O'brien rain-dance. Good ass album, definitely worth checking out

Tom Jones - Burning Hell

The loudest singer in the room releases a collection of blues & gospel covers, this album actually came out a couple of months ago. its only when i saw him perform "Burning hell" on Letterman two weeks ago, when i heard and saw the performance i was intrigued,and check out the album..and its quite good i must say.

Hometown glory..

It happens wherever you go, "homeground advantage" we call it. when you are in your hometown the love you get is astounding, from the love you get from everybody around, people you havent seen in a while. It's almost paradise. even in soccer, look at the love manchester gets in old trafford..you will notice certain individuals, who are desperate to go back to their hometowns, because thats their utopia, where they are confident and well respected, and they can rant about their imaginary success "in the big city" . you will notice that these characters, avoid persons who know them well, and every once in a while when they meet the latter, it's often hilarious the way they react..Kind of reminds me of the series LOST where there's a character named "Locke" who's like a commando on the island where they are lost at. But when he hears that there could be a submarine to rescue them from the island, he panics and blows up the sub. he doesnt wanna go back to the real world..hilarious!!!
It's all good and fun, but the trick is to get out before the chips are down, it's good to get out while it's still nice, so that you have an excuse to come back again...come to think of it..i havent been there in a while, i gotta go pack my bags and go see my hometown..

Slow dancing in a burning room..

Relationships are a funny thing, because when you first get to it, it's like some people just expect it never to have hiccups or whatever. and this is where they go wrong. From the start, even if you have a good relationship, just know that one day you might have problems also, just like everybody else, after all you are still human, unless your shit dont stink.
But most folks lose their way when things turn sour,they start to look like drug addicts. They dont wanna let go. They continue to force the relationship even though its deteriorating, like slow dancing in a burning room. it's burning but you are still walking towards the case of heineken instead of saving yourself.

Drug Economy Imposed on African People

"So InPDUM has exposed this whole question of the drug economy. You got folks who are stuffed into these prisons all around the country who don't even understand why they are there. They would cover the blade with blood. Wolves would smell the blade and come to try to eat. They would lick the blade. When they licked the blade they would cut their tongues and they would drink their own blood. They really were thinking that they had a lot to eat then, and of course they were drinking their own blood and killing themselves in the process.

That's what imperialism has done to our communities. It takes away the ability for you to live in a normal situation and then they bury a blade in the ice and put some blood on it. you come to lick the blade thinking that you're getting nourishment, and actually what you're doing is killing yourself in the process."
