Joe Budden - Escape Route
I'll admit, I havent always been a joe budden fan. but after listening to his mixtapes after his first album. Mainly
the Mood music series, I realised that i had under-estimated "jump-off" joe's lyrical ability. He then came out with
Halfway house..which brought more anticipation for his 2nd album "padded room", one of my favorate albums of 2009. not to mention
him going toe to toe with Royce,Joell ortiz and Crooked I on the slaughterhouse album.
now he comes again with this EP..bringing more anticipation for his album.."The great escape" which is the last of
a trilogy (after Halfway house,Padded room)

Album of the week..
Slaughterhouse - Slaughterhouse
Four of my favorite mcs get together to bring that music that we've been missing since the south and the autotune gimmicks flooded the airwaves with ringtone raps and melodies..Now with the death of autotune pronounced, this is the first album i've come accross that brings back that lyricysm that we've missed since the days of 90's rap. These dudes have been on the internet buzz for a minute now. Joell released an LP "Bodega chronicles" and a few mixtapes, Crooked I' s had those Weekly freestyles (check them aout at HIthiphop.com) that became popular even to the naysayers,Joe Budden has released one of my favorite albums of 2009 even though the beefs he's had with rap vets a few months back made me dislike his arrogance..and Royce the 5'9 has released The revival EP, Bar Exam 1 and two..plus an album Streethop in the works..Just from saying that alone is enough not to give a review on this great album..even though i've played it like 4 times already..

Jump-off Joe comes back after a five year absense, a couple of mixtapes and Joe budden tv to come hard with "padded room" his second full length lp. And it's good. Standout tracks: The future,Blood on the wall, In my sleep,Pray for me, and family reunion. check it out february 24th!!!
