Loco..

El Cientifico Loco by =mictlantectli on deviantART
It's been a weird week in namibia this week.

First: Castration to all rapists
--------------------------------
It's been suggested by parliamentarians that all rapists should be castrated.
They went on to say that those who get castrated get minimum sentences and those who dont get higher sentences. While im not one to support rapists, im somehow skeptical as to whether this idea could actually work, when you look at it from the perspective of those accused who are later found to have been innocent all along. I say this because it's a dangerous world we live in and, being accused of rape is something which happens on a continual basis (im sure guys who go to clubs will understand this). You might have consensual sex with someone who only reveals their actual motives after the deed. And when you refuse, they throw that "rape" card on the table. Who do you think the lawmakers are gonna believe? i aint rocket science.

Second: Haniball lector gets lose
--------------------------------
Some lunatic goes berserk in the north of the country, smashing a brik into the head of a security guard then going on a rampage shooting everybody in sight at a hospital. I dont blame him, i mean if a dude is insane you have to strap him on tha gurney, who hasnt watched the hanibal movies for cryin out loud!!

Third: Municipal bills up!!
--------------------------------
The final straw, minicipality has decided to raise municipal bills by a sky rocketing 10-15 % rate. Just when the little country that looks like one of those german pistols is going through it's little recession now this, and they still have the audacity to spend millions on entertainment, what a couple of douchebags!! thats what's happening in my neck of the woods..

Slacker..

sluggard by ~averouez on deviantART
My country's becoming a place infested by leeches...metaphorically speaking of course. I'm talking about these people who don't want to strive for what they want and just expect to get stuff on a silver platter.
We have so-called kids of war veterans picketing outside the ministry of war veterans offices demanding money and work.
Am i the only one who thinks this is just a bunch of bullshit? I mean seriously, come on..so what if you are a kid of a war veteran? that doesn't mean your black ass was on them front lines a couple of decades ago does it. I got uncles and cousins who fought for this country, but you don't see me running around making bullshit demands. I'm not from a rich family damn it, but i did what i had to do to get where i wanted in life(and I'm not talking about crime here)..and for some idiot to try and pull that whole "veteran" stunt to get shit right now? that's not gonna fly. That's another dollar coming out of a taxpayer's money. A taxpayer's gonna be waking up every morning stressing about bills and going to work, while a chunk of his money goes to some slacker who never looked for work or went to school, that aint fair man. i know life aint fair but damn..this is where i put my foot down.

Come on, these are a bunch of lazy people expecting to get things the easy way. and adding insult to injury, the government comes up with questionable ministries (like the ministry of veteran affairs)it should have been only a department within the ministry of defense, not making it an entire ministry. Then there's the ministry of presidential affairs..what!!! let me pipe down before i get an aneurysm...

It's coming around again..

Vive la Democratie... by *BenHeine on deviantART
It's time once again..that we get out there and register for voting. as we move closer the voting dates a bunch of vehicles will be seen in a bunch of communities in these few weeks. And it's a good thing. I think there's gonna be more new voters when that time comes (to vote) as a lot of young people are seeing things that are happening and debating on certain issues going on in the country, and I'm one of them..
Rather than just voting, i would have liked to see our presidential candidates have a live debate on television and radio and answer questions from a mediator with an arsenal of questions from people around Namibia. This would be the only proof to show the audience at large how each political leader will deal with the issues at hand in the country. Rallies don't mean anything..just a bunch of politicians going on and on dissing other parties and not actually telling people what they want to hear.
