Album of the week..

M83 - Hurry up we are dreaming
this bad i can only describe as a mix beween Bloc Party and Editors, and the ernegy of arctic monkeys. i came to know of this band while i was watching "how to make it in america" the music supervisor (Scott Vener) did a great job, he also did music supervision for entourage..i've never been this excited about an indie album since "Silent Alarm" by bloc party.

Album of the week..

Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
Coldplay's album dropped last week, and its exactly what i've expected all along, besides the rihanha feature. Iwas kind caught off guard when Chris Martin mentioned that the record was partly inspired by the HBO series "The Wire" (which u should get on DVDs by the way, if u haven't).

Waiting for you..

Waiting For You by ~jjap on deviantART
There's no such thing as the perfect bride..so it's hard for me to understand when someone tells me that they are waiting for the right person and that he/she is gonna
remain virgins until they get married or meet the right person. How the hell do you justify that? To me it makes more sence when you are just spontaneous and let the universe do its thing instead of being a relationship obsessive compulsive idiot.
Because when worse comes to worst you change your mind and move on..change is embedded in our DNA system, thats why people get bored..its natural..thats why people get tired of routine..its natural...thats why people cheat..it's nnatural...thats why people get tired of missionary position its natural
there's nothing wrong...im just saying..
You will keep waiting..and when you finaly get that right person, you find out it aint the right person..then WHAT!!

Album of the week..

Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

Ever since they dropped that single "everything id everything" a couple of years back, ive been following this band's work consistently and i havent been dissapointed. This album is a breath of fresh air, with all these holidays, it's a cool album to listen while you play around in photoshop or gimp..

It's coming around again..

Vive la Democratie... by *BenHeine on deviantART
It's time once again..that we get out there and register for voting. as we move closer the voting dates a bunch of vehicles will be seen in a bunch of communities in these few weeks. And it's a good thing. I think there's gonna be more new voters when that time comes (to vote) as a lot of young people are seeing things that are happening and debating on certain issues going on in the country, and I'm one of them..
Rather than just voting, i would have liked to see our presidential candidates have a live debate on television and radio and answer questions from a mediator with an arsenal of questions from people around Namibia. This would be the only proof to show the audience at large how each political leader will deal with the issues at hand in the country. Rallies don't mean anything..just a bunch of politicians going on and on dissing other parties and not actually telling people what they want to hear.

The Fear..

paraskevidekatriaphobia, the fear of "friday the 13th" was something i was not familiar with at an early age. Being a an early 80's baby, it was only until i got "western upgrade" from Hollywood media and television that i started paying attention to the crap surrounding the Friday the 13th nonsense.
According to arrogant know-it-alls the number 13 is associated with bad luck. In Christianity, this was the number of people who were present at the last supper, with Judas being the thirteenth and the dude who sold out Hee-soos (Jesus). And it's also suggested that this was the day Jesus was crucified.
Even the apollo 13 moon-landing mission never made it.. It could be coincidence, but until i have a bad day like that dude in Final Destination, i aint believing any of this crap..Where's the beer & women at?

Built to last..

pic from garthim
The only thing that always creeps me out besides that evil laugh at the end of that "thriller" song by michael jackson,is the notion that we only got 100 years to live..and i'm guessing i've got 75 years left, give-or-take 55, because you only "live ya life" till the age of 70 tops, old age homes and anything after that doesn't count..you aint alive no more.In the sense that you've lost most of your five senses, the only sense left is sight.seeing your heartbeat through your old-ass sweater your kid bought you.

If it were sorely up to me i'd live forever.Travel around the world, ge this, not in 80 days but in 800 years, just moving around in my zeppelin. sipping on that good stuff i'm not used to buying. Trust me there are infinite things i could do if i lived forever. For instance Mount Everest, Kilimajaro, see the eight wonders of the world, go into the amazon jungle for kicks...aargh! the list is endless. i'm pretty sure i won't be able to do all these things in 55 years man..but i bet if i had another hundered years on me i would be a quadrilionaire in hundred and thriteen years and i'm not talking Yen but dollars. that's serious money right there..
But thats why we are stingy, and protective of what's ours right? because nothing is built to last.

God put a smile on your face..

You ever notice how short weeks are becoming, it always seem like just when you reach home the alarm is already ringing for you to dress up for work again, and you can’t seem to get enough sleep through-out the whole week from all them bootleg movies you been staying up late for..
And what do you do when you get to the weekend? You are nowhere near your apartment, just hanging out with friends, nothin but cobwebs in your bed...and then you have the nerve to complain on Sunday? Negro please…
but on the real though...I kinda ran across a few skits (def comedy jam) by Bernie Mac and a pimp lookin' cat named Alonzo "hamburger" Jones, had me laughin' all day forgot about my troubles for at least a couple of minutes before going to bed with a clear conscience. Laughter is the best placebo for any sickness.

Imitation...

imitation by ~crypticon on deviantART
I’ve never been a fan of the term “reality TV”, because I don’t think the term “reality” correctly applies. The only time I had to enjoy watching “reality TV”, was when fear-factor was on and I always laughed my ass off, at how people will do just about anything for money.
Now this whole big brother thing, which is really starting to get old. I don’t believe that these people portray who they really are in that big brother house. They just pretend, or act the whole 90 some days, imitating whichever character they read about in a book or saw in a soapie, because they would want to be liked by whoever is tuned into the show, and they don’t wanna be voted out.
It’s difficult to be yourself when cameras are rolling, unless you are a professional actor, or a very good liar. It’s just human nature, people like attention. I just wish there could be Big Brother: Actresses. That will be the day I would trade my lunch hour, with watching a Halle Berry shower-hour.

Jerk it out

now who cold forget this face from different strokes.....

anecdote time:
Bill’s dad came up to him and tried to warn him about the dangers of masturbation. So he proceeded to tell him: “Hey Bill, do you know that masturbating can cause blindness”
Surprised, Bill turned around and answered “Hey dad, Im over here!!”

Moral of the story, nobody likes a smart ass!! you get your match, which would be "an asshole"

Father & Son

pic from bcdirector.deviantart.com

Pic From Anna.deviantart.com
I'm not a father my self, and its a pity my dad's not around for this occasion(yesterday) (he kicked the bucket before i was born). so i would like to say happy father's day to all the fathers who work hard and provide for their kids..cause this world is so cold(literally & metaphorically) so kudos to all the dads around the world this one's to you /*lifts a shot of tequila and seeps*/

I thought this track goes well with the occasion, even though james blunt sounds rather cocky if you pay attention to the lyrics. he is talking about himself, how he's one of the lucky ones or how his story will be told or how he will be one of the brightest stars... it just sounds like something a person would say to their kids..so thats why it relates to fathers's day..
