I like the fact that Joe Thomas is still as good as when he started. The latest release is a breath of fresh air. And your boy Donell Jones did not dissapoint either.Lyrics was a return to form. Maxwell too..but that album (black summer's night) was too short. Keith Sweat did a fine job too..less autotune please. R.kelly always delivers, My man *denzel voice* There's still a lot of guys missing here..where the hell is SILK,Babyface, Anita Baker,Old Lionel rich (before the Akon Mess)
This has to be arguable the most somber bittersweet music I've listened to since Amy winehouse's Back to Black album. The music encapsulates thematic strings with echoing drums..and haunting lyrics almost as if a soundtrack to a disaster movie..one of the best releases to start of the year..
Frank Ocean - Nostalgia ultra nothing else to say, this album *cough*, mixtape is fire..period!! highlights are "Strawberry Swing" "novocane" "american wedding" it reminds me of remy shand's underrated album rock steady..and thats a big compliment.

It happens wherever you go, "homeground advantage" we call it. when you are in your hometown the love you get is astounding, from the love you get from everybody around, people you havent seen in a while. It's almost paradise. even in soccer, look at the love manchester gets in old trafford..you will notice certain individuals, who are desperate to go back to their hometowns, because thats their utopia, where they are confident and well respected, and they can rant about their imaginary success "in the big city" . you will notice that these characters, avoid persons who know them well, and every once in a while when they meet the latter, it's often hilarious the way they react..Kind of reminds me of the series LOST where there's a character named "Locke" who's like a commando on the island where they are lost at. But when he hears that there could be a submarine to rescue them from the island, he panics and blows up the sub. he doesnt wanna go back to the real world..hilarious!!! It's all good and fun, but the trick is to get out before the chips are down, it's good to get out while it's still nice, so that you have an excuse to come back again...come to think of it..i havent been there in a while, i gotta go pack my bags and go see my hometown.. adele - hometown glory
Being dissapointed by someone takes a long time for you to heal, especially if you trusted that person so much, and at the end of the day, you are the one to look like an idiot. It's sad because what makes the whole thing so unfair is that, you become paranoid, and it's gonna take time for you to really trust anyone again, you might get close to someone as far as friendship is concerned, but as soon as you get too close you end up distancing yourself, because you dont wanna see yourself in that situation you had earlier. Dissapointments come in different circumstances, it could be heartbreak..it could be rape..friendship..etc. you start thinking of the humiliation, shame, and. your heart could tell you to get out there and mingle, but you just aint sure that you are ready yet..it's as if you are still in repair..you aint together, but you are getting there.. Thats why beer and alcohol is sold, its meant to be therapeutic. i mean, imagine the harm that some of us would've done to ourselves if we werent drinking..only god knows. it's a depressing world out there, and once in a while its good to go haywire on a bottle of jameson's for a few hours and get back to business right after a hangeover and regrets. It keeps you focused. I cant imagine myself without drinking, i'd probably be looking like Moby for christ's sake!!! and thats just sad..

Damn!!! been gone for a minute. we barely past 2010 puberty but already so much has happened..the earth quake in haiti, Teddy pendegrass' passing nuclear physicist assasinated, that nigerian cat tried to blow himself up in an american airline...man it's all just too much to process, it's like 2009 all over again. But despite all this shit storm of ills and what have you, id have to say that life as we know it must go on and i've had a hell of a good time during my hiatus..so much Joy!!!
Us as a people are a bunch of hypocrites, always complaining(myself included,Hence my self-loathing). It’s always either too hot or too cold. People are always either too fat or too skinny. Never stopping to realize what’s important (The fact that your ass is still alive and full of sh** because, if you were not you would have been complaining about hunger and not the F***in weather).
Change is a part of life that’s why there are four seasons every year. Years are nowadays moving too fast in my opinion; I don’t know whether it’s just me or I’m just getting old, who knows? I haven’t had the opportunity to get a second opinion from the youngin’s of our time to hear their thoughts on the notion. Most of my generation is stuck in the second youth. It’s like dudes don’t even think of settling down to have a family or move over to adulthood. Somehow I get the feeling that the species of politicians is endangered, nobody wants to be a politician, and it’s from a global perspective. The whole world is increasingly becoming infested with yuppies (Young up-and-coming professionals) who are more determined to have their dream wishes fulfilled instead of wearing suits and thinking of foreign diplomacy in the state-house while spotting a suit, as a politician. Blind dates!!? Who in their right mind would go on a blind date? I mean really, what would justify you to go on a date without knowing what to expect. The whole night will be a disaster if you ain’t got sh** in common, sh** for all I know it could be a dude you been set up with, courtesy of your boys playing a prank on you. The whole starting point to this date thing is a matter of how you perceive person you are about to go on a date with, cause if you know who you will be going out on a date with, its easy for you to do some research (even though some of us just freestyle with no research, but charms) to find out about the girl from people in her circle. Otherwise you just babbling sh** she does not even give a damn about and you end up sleeping in fetal position like Tiger Woods about to score a birdie. There’s nothing worse than a dude on a date, asking the same stupid question over and over like: “Hey, you heard the greatest hits cd by Michael Learns To Rock? It’s soo good!!”
